We will be studying about black history in the past and the present. We we learn more cultural awareness by reading books, making crafts and writing about what we have learned by making connections to the books, self and the world.

Motivational Posters
After reading numerous books on Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, and Harriett Tubman the students captured pictures from that time era and wrote about them. They did an amazing job illustrating their pictures. The assignment integrated technology, social studies and language arts together. The students uploaded their pictures, used different font colors and backgrounds. Students also had an opportunity to watch several videos on Brainpopjr. on the above mentioned leaders in our history. The focus of the lesson was to communicate with others through technology what they learned about Black History. This is under construction
