We will be busy learning routines and expectations, building a community of learners and making new friends. We will be reading many books and learning how to work independently.
7:45 Class begins
Student will come into the classroom and find their seats. We will do the Pledge/Moment of
Silence and expectations. Then we will do Calendar and discuss expectations during calendar.
8:00 Introduce Self / Read Aloud First Day Jitters
Generate discussion/Activity do a Shared writing activity
8:30-9:30 Introduce Selves and build a learning community activities

Kissing Hand Writing Activity
10:00 Special Areas Music Art, or PE
10:45 Get ready for Lunch by washing our hands and reviewing cafeteria expectations

12:50-1:35 Science/Social Studies

- Meet in the living room to discuss expectations during guided reading time and centers -teacher will use Ipad with multiple mini animated movies that she developed to teach expectations
- Model reading to self and practice together
