Gardening
We had a busy morning all before 10:00. Assembly 7:45-8:00. Parent Reader 8:05-8:25 and Spelling test. Then we learned about the phases of the moon during center time and created mini moon books. We are also working on a language arts booklet about science, It has important facts about the moon, it has an opportunity to write creatively about different topics such as if you met an alien, create a space ship and so on.. When we complete our project, I will post it on our bulletin board for your viewing. After sharing with the children their spelling grades we ate a snack and off to the garden we went. We planted many seeds and a plant. The children will be responsible for watering the garden during the week. If anyone happens to be around on the weekend, we can always use your help to water the plants. This will help us with our observations and documenting data that we are seeing. The children will see what is required for living organisms to survive. I am sorry that the pictures are not as clear as I would have liked them to be. It was not that sunny but their was a glare that regardless of the direction I stood to take the picture it was the same all around. I am not an expert in photography but I tried. I am sorry that these did not turn out very clear but you will have some idea of what we did today.
After our planting adventure, it was off to art. You can see us lined up ready to go in. The students are working on a cool project in art. I might try it with my grandkids at home.
