Bubblegum
I found this lesson on a teacher website. It is not my original lesson but I thought it would be fun to try. We incorporated math, science and writing. First, the children had to give me verbal directions how to make bubbles. I closed my eyes and I ask the children to pretend that i was visually impaired and they were to give me explicit directions. It was fun! We reviewed what air is, we collected data and graphed our findings of who was able to make bubbles with the gum. We had three that were able to make bubbles including myself and 13 that were not able to. Then, the children had to write their how to piece with sequencing words first, next and last. When they completed their writing, the children created a craft of themselves blowing bubbles.
